What Your Child Needs to Know Before…Kindergarten?

I was playing around on Pinterest and ran across the blog post “71 Things Your Child Needs to Know Before Kindergarten.” I clicked on the link because I honestly don’t know much about kids other than Nick, and I have very little idea of what a typical kindergartener is like or needs to know before starting school. I was kind of shocked after reading the 71 things. Here is the list and my thoughts about each one and answering if Nick can do each one, so you’ll see why some of these seemed a little odd to me.

Wonderful Weekend!

This was the first weekend in a long time where we didn’t really feel frazzled by either just too much stuff to do or apartment woes. We were busy the past two days, but relaxed.

School Supplies…Crap!

Since school is starting soon, though I know not for Nick for a few more years, I decided to look and see how much school supplies cost nowadays. Things seem about the same as when I was in school. The scary part, though, is the kindergarten supply list for where Nick will be going to school.
