Same Thing, Different Day

Posted by nattya61 on December 15, 2009

I haven’t blogged in a while because things have been pretty much the same ole thing. That’s good, I guess. No news is better than bad news. Bryan still hasn’t heard anything job related. That’s sort of disappointing, but it hasn’t really been that long ago since he applied. We’re just patiently waiting. Still, please keep sending those positive thoughts our way! He’s been working more hours at Valentine’s, which is good. I miss him in the evenings, but more money equals less stress overall.

Nicholas is still doing great. He keeps trying to stand up and walk while he’s in the crawl position. I wonder if he’s going to be one of those kids who crawls not on his knees but on his feet instead. That’ll be weird, but well, so is he, but in a good way.

I think Nicholas entered into the terrible twos already. Whenever we say “No” to him about anything we’ll get one of two reactions. He’ll either scrunch up his face, his whole head will get red, and he’ll scream…or…he’ll ignore us and go after what he’s wanting with even more force the more times we say “No” or try to stop him. It’s funny now, but I know that will probably wear off. Haha! Bryan’s dad said he was the very same way as a baby, though, I’m thinking probably not quite at only 8 months.

He's starting to not like his bottle. Yay for a possibly easy weaning!

I can’t wait until Nicholas gets to open his presents. He loves playing with paper, so I’m sure he’ll have a ball unwrapping everything. Hopefully, he won’t like the paper more than the presents. At least he doesn’t try to eat paper. He just tears it up and then throws it aside when he’s done with it. One of his favorite new activities is throwing things and watching Mommy and Daddy pick it up for him. Yeah, we need to stop that.

Everyone say it together. "Awe!!"
