Santa Baby

Posted by nattya61 on December 4, 2009

Actually, Nicholas is definitely not a Santa baby. Yesterday evening we took him to get his picture taken with Santa for the first time at Bass Pro. We got there at 5:00PM and picked up a ticket to get his picture taken at 6:30PM. We walked around the store, ate dinner, and then got in line at 6:00PM. Nicholas was a little fussy, but once we got in line and got him out of his stroller for a bit he was much better.

Waiting in line to see Santa.

Nicholas was happy the whole time we were in line. He liked looking at the other kids and the “elves.”

Happily waiting in his stroller.

Even when we got closer to the front of the line Nick was still a happy little boy.

Grinning for the camera.

Then, finally it was Nick’s turn to get his picture taken with Santa Claus. What does Nick do? He screams and cries. I’m not sure if he was mad or scared. It was pretty cute, though. He wouldn’t sit on Santa’s lap at all, so Santa got up and had Bryan sit in his seat, and well, here’s the picture:

Family photo with Santa and a very unhappy Nicholas.

Upset Baby

At least I actually sorta fixed my hair yesterday. Anyway, Nick was upset until we got him out of sight of Santa. Bryan was laughing so hard. He said, “Good, the boy knows Santa’s creepy.” Bryan thinks Santa is a creepy old man who stalks kids, breaks into their houses, leaves his stuff, and steals their cookies. Bryan is also scared of Cabbage Patch dolls. I love my odd man.
Maybe next year we’ll get a picture of Nick smiling with Santa, but this year, we’ve definitely got a funny picture to show all the family, and I have a good picture to show his future girlfriends when he’s a teenager.
